Birth & postpartum support in the Colorado Foothills
Rooted in Ayurveda, bodywork, and over a decade of caring for families spanning from pre-conception to postpartum care.
I’m Madison.
I’m Madison, a birth doula, licensed massage therapist, and board-certified Ayurvedic practitioner serving families in the Colorado Foothills.
Birth has been woven through my life from the very beginning. I attended my first birth at two years old: my sister’s, at home. A generation later, I caught my niece as she entered the world. Over the years I’ve worked alongside midwives who once worked with the very midwife who guided me into this life. The circle keeps turning.
Caring for mothers through birth is a sacred practice for me.
For more than a decade, I’ve had the honor of sitting beside women as they cross into motherhood. I’ve supported families through conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I’ve also walked with them through miscarriage and unexpected loss, and through all the tender moments in between.
Through it all, one truth has come into clear focus: a mother who feels deeply safe can open fully to her birth. My work is to help you find that safety as a felt sense in your body, and then to hold it steady around you.
I generally serve families within a 45-minute drive of Conifer and Evergreen, though I’ve supported families all across the country.
Birth is not only the arrival of a baby. It is a threshold for everyone in the room.
I hold birth as one of the most sacred passages a family will ever make.
When a mother feels safe, among people she trusts, in a space where she feels both sovereign and heard, her body is free to do what it already knows how to do. I believe this is where the safest and most fulfilling births can unfold.
I hold no judgment or attachment to how you birth. Together, we’ll explore what safety means for you: where you want to give birth, who you want beside you, and what you want to see, hear, and feel. It’s different for everyone. Whether that’s a hospital room, a birth center, or your own home, I’m your ally in creating it.
Caring for the Mother
Pregnancy, birth, and the weeks that follow ask everything of a mother’s body. What nourishes her also nourishes her baby, physically and energetically.
Rest, warmth, nourishing food, healing touch, and tender care are not luxuries in this season. They are the foundation of recovery, of bonding, and of the life that unfolds after birth.
Ayurvedic Care
For families who want it, I offer expanded care rooted in Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India, which I have practiced clinically for 14 years.
Classical Ayurveda gives remarkable attention to this passage. Its texts describe how to prepare a dedicated birthing space (sūtikāgāra), how to care for the mother month by month through pregnancy (garbhiṇī paricaryā), and how to restore her afterward (sūtikā paricaryā) with warm oil, nourishing foods, and protected rest. This traditional wisdom can be woven into any and all stages of your journey.
Bodywork & Birth Photography
Bodywork
As a licensed massage therapist, my hands are part of how I support you. That includes comfort measures in labor, prenatal massage, and postpartum bodywork that helps a mother come home to her body and to herself.
Birth Photography
I also offer optional birth photography. It began as a hobby and has become a quiet devotion: catching the first breath, the first gaze, the hands that held you through it all.
